The mystery of Richmond’s newest 24-hour spot is about to be solved.
Back in August, we broke the news that a new signage for “The Food Court” had appeared on No. 3 Road.
Taking over the former Lurou Fan Tasty unit, the spot promised a holy trinity of late-night eats: Dim Sum, BBQ, and Hot Pot.

At the time, the biggest question was whether this was an actual food court or just a cleverly named restaurant.
Fast forward to this week, and we finally have a clearer picture.
We walked by the location today and found the interior renovations are essentially complete.
In fact, the team is already testing the systems, as the TV screens inside were randomly playing.

The interior design leans heavily into an industrial, cafeteria aesthetic.
It features faux stone and brick walls, simple wooden tables, and black metal chairs.
But the most telling detail is sitting right in the corner.
We spotted a stack of wire food tray carts—the kind you typically see at IKEA.

This strongly suggests a self-service or tray-based dining model, aligning with the “Food Court” name.
The kitchen area in the back is fully tiled and appears ready for action soon.
While an official date hasn’t been announced, the timing seems imminent.
Christmas decals have already been put up on the windows.
Considering the holidays are just around the corner, it is highly likely we will see a soft opening this week.
If they stick to the 24-hour promise on the sign, this could become a major competitor for the late-night crowd currently flocking to Big Way and ChoCho.
The Food Court is part of the list of upcoming food spots opening in Richmond like Oishinoya, Chung Chun, and Stone & Flow.
