It looks like Richmond is about to get another sweet snack spot.
We recently spotted signage for Momo Tanghulu going up at a unit along Buswell and Cook Street, just a block from CF Richmond Centre.
Theyโll be taking over a former pet supply shop.

If the name rings a bell, Momo Tanghulu first started back in 2024 as what they called Richmondโs first tanghulu kitchen.
They began as a pop-up inside Boom Chicken on Garden City, offering fresh Beijing-style candied fruit skewers.
But after Boom Chicken shut down in July 2024, Momo shifted to offering orders through WeChat, operating out of a home kitchen.
Now, theyโre gearing up for something bigger.
While the brand hasnโt officially announced the storefront on their social media just yet, this move marks their transition back to a full retail experience.
Judging by past offerings from their Instagram, customers can likely expect a variety of colourful tanghulu options, including skewers of strawberries, blueberries, grapes, kumquats, and even taro balls.
The fruits are typically coated in a thin shell of hardened sugar for that signature glossy crunch.
Their upcoming shop adds to a growing lineup of new food spots in Richmond, joining names like Yummy Pork, Hong Phat, and Miku.
