After years of slinging sushi tacos from food trucks and the Richmond Night Market, Taco Nori is finally opening their first-ever storefront in Downtown Vancouver!

Brandon, one of the Taco Nori co-owners, shared on their official Instagram page on May 13th the great news.

He shared that starting May 20th, those in Downtown Vancouver will be able to get their sushi taco fix Monday to Friday from 10:30 am to 3:30 pm at Bentall Centre.

That’s right under BMO and just steps from Burrard Station, perfect for downtown workers looking for a new lunch spot.

If you’ve never tried their crunchy, hand-held creations, here’s the deal: seaweed is deep-fried into a crispy taco shell, then packed with fresh sushi ingredients.

It’s everything you love about sushi but with the added satisfaction of a crunch in every bite.

This concept isn’t new for the founders, though.

Best friends turned food entrepreneurs, they’ve been perfecting their signature nori tacos at summer festivals since 2018 under the original name Nori Express.

Post-COVID, they expanded to a fleet of three trucks and one trailer, popping up at events all over Metro Vancouver.

But now they’re laying down roots.

On the menu, you’ll find all the hits – Spicy Salmon, Chicken Karaage, Dynamite, Wakame, and the vibrant Mango Paradise taco, which comes with salmon, avocado, mango, and imitation crab.

Prices range from $13 to $16, and all tacos come stuffed with sushi rice, cucumber, spicy mayo, sesame seeds, and more.

It’s another great win for local small food brands making the leap into permanent spaces and even better news for anyone who works near the Financial District.

Taco Nori now joins Downtown Vancouver’s latest wave of openings, including Paragon Tea Room (Pacific Centre), Aisle 24 Market, Unni Pastries Yaletown, Chocolat Favoris in Gastown, and Neate’s Donuts.

So if you’re looking for a new weekday lunch option with crunch, you know where to go.
