The wait is finally over for Richmond’s dessert lovers!
After months of anticipation, Little Pisces, Coquitlam’s beloved taiyaki and ice cream shop, is officially soft opening their new Richmond location this Saturday, May 3, at 12PM.
And to sweeten the big occasion?
The first 100 customers through the door on soft opening day will score a $5 voucher for future orders over $20.
Back in February, the team teased the upcoming Richmond spot, which takes over the old Me + Crepe space on Alexandra Road.
And it’s a perfect fit considering how much foot traffic and foodie energy flows through this popular road.
Little Pisces first launched as a pop-up before opening their flagship Coquitlam location in June 2024.
Since then, they’ve made a name for themselves with their mochi-battered taiyaki, crispy on the outside and delightfully chewy on the inside.
The taiyaki comes stuffed with classic fillings like red bean and custard, plus trendier picks like ube and hotteok.
Then there’s their soft serve, which fans line up for – flavours like matcha, banana milk, and vanilla are served in cups or stuffed inside those warm, fish-shaped pastries.
Co-founders Jacky Tian and Linda Dai, friends since high school, hinted earlier this year that the Richmond shop will debut exclusive flavours you won’t find at the Coquitlam location.
And now it’s almost time to find out what they’ve got in store.
The timing couldn’t be better either!
Between the rising temps and a rough wave of restaurant turnover in Richmond, a new dessert go-to is very welcoming news.
Will this become the next after-dinner hot spot on Alexandra?
We’re betting yes.
