Itโs the final countdown for one of Vancouverโs most beloved Asian-French pastry shops.
Remi Patisserie, the acclaimed Asian-French bakery by chef-owner Remi Ho, has officially entered its last week of service.
After six years of delicate craftsmanship, innovation, and community connection, the bakery will close its doors on October 12, 2025.
Remi shared the emotional update on Instagram, describing the reality of the closure as bittersweet and surreal.
โItโs getting to meโฆ slowly. It seems like this isnโt real. Is it really ending?โ he wrote. โI used every determination in me to persevere. And I worked hard, really hard. I think myself I did that.โ
In his message, Remi thanked his team, customers, and supporters who stood by him through every stage of his journey.
He reflected on the courage it took to start his business in 2019, calling it โthe biggest achievementโ of his life.
Known for its inventive blend of French technique and Asian-inspired flavors, Remi Patisserie has been a gem on Cambie Street since 2020.
The shopโs signature creations โ from cloud cakes and hojicha flan to mango pomelo sago and matcha pastries โ became cult faves for Vancouver dessert lovers.
Before opening the Cambie storefront, Remi honed his craft through pop-ups and collaborations at spots like Sweet Barrel, Origo Club, and various local restaurants.
His journey from small-scale baker to one of Vancouverโs most respected pastry chefs inspired countless others in the cityโs food scene.
As he prepares to move to Japan to start a new chapter with his partner, Remi continues to express gratitude to his customers for making his dream possible.
He mentioned that while he canโt fulfill all preorders this week, heโll be baking extra each day for walk-in guests.
โItโs true. I know my mango mochi will sell out no matter what,โ he joked, ending his post with heartfelt thanks and a simple reminder: โFive more services to go.โ
