Iconic Vancouver Burger Bar Closes After 14 Years

It’s the end of an era for burger lovers in Vancouver.

Romer’s Burger Bar has shut down its original location in Kitsilano as of October 27th.

This beloved spot has been a staple for locals since it opened its doors in 2010, known for its epic burgers and casual, inviting atmosphere.

The news was shared via Romer’s Instagram back on October 23, where the team expressed gratitude to their loyal customers, stating, “It’s been an honor to serve you, and we’re grateful for being part of your lives.”

Romer’s, founded in 2010, focuses on simple, high-quality food, starting with hand-pressed burgers made from fresh, locally sourced ingredients and scratch-made condiments.

Romer’s will continue to operate three other locations in BC: River District, Port Moody, and Lynn Valley.

Each offers a similar vibe, but it’s undeniable that the original Kitsilano location holds a special place in the hearts of its patrons.

Their announcement post did tease that they’ll soon be opening in YVR Airport though!
