Another quiet goodbye has hit Vancouver’s cafe scene.
Kahve Café by Enflux, a minimalist Kitsilano staple that’s been serving coffee lovers since 2015, has quietly shut its doors.
Based on the last Google reviews and recent updates to the storefront, the café appears to have closed sometime in April, making room for the newly opened Bento Cafe.
For nearly a decade, Kahve carved out a unique identity in Vancouver’s crowded coffee landscape.

It wasn’t just a cafe – it was part coffee shop, part design showroom.
Known for its zen-meets-Scandinavian aesthetic, the space was a collaboration between Korean art critic John Rhee and Japanese-Canadian architect Eitaro Hirota.
The result was an effortlessly calming environment filled with clean lines, natural light, and a sense of curated stillness that set it apart.
But Kahve wasn’t all about vibes.
The café gained a reputation for its coffee experiences, pairing excellent espresso with a menu of in-house made sandwiches, soups, salads, and baked goods.
Many ingredients were organic and locally sourced, and even the condiments were made from scratch in-house.
Now, the space has a new tenant.
Bento Cafe, a Japanese eatery serving Teishoku set meals and French-Japanese pastries, has taken over the address.
Kahve Café now joins a list of recent closures that have quietly reshaped Vancouver’s food scene, including Zefferelli’s, Pizzeria Farina, and Archer.
