It’s a bittersweet moment for chocolate lovers in Vancouver.

Koko Monk Chocolates, the beloved artisan chocolate shop, has announced on Instagram that they are closing their first location on West 1st Avenue.

This iconic spot, known for its sophisticated flavour fusions and health-focused ingredients, has been a local favourite since it opened in 2013.

Koko Monk Chocolates, founded by Paul Dincer, quickly gained international recognition.

BuzzFeed even named it one of the world’s greatest hot chocolate makers.

Their commitment to using raw, organic, and vegan ingredients has made them a standout in the health food category.

Paul’s background in fine art, literature, and philosophy inspires the one-of-a-kind flavours found in Koko Monk’s offerings.

From the adventurous Blue Moon (blue cheese) to the exotic Brunette Bangle (curry and coconut), each piece is crafted to surprise and delight the taste buds.

Their creations are regularly a hit in Vancouver’s annual Hot Chocolate Festival, where the mystery flavour challenge keeps fans guessing and coming back for more.

Despite the closure of the West 1st Avenue location, chocolate lovers can still get their fix at Koko Monk’s West Broadway location.
