Another closure has hit Downtown Vancouver’s Davie Street.

Rori Momo, a Korean Japanese restaurant that has been serving the neighbourhood since 2019, has officially shut down.

A heartfelt notice posted on the door confirmed the news.

The restaurant served its last meal on January 15, 2026, bringing an end to 7 years of operation.

In the farewell message, the owners expressed deep gratitude to everyone who walked through their doors.

They wrote that Rori Momo was more than just a restaurant, calling it a place where warm meals, conversations, and heartfelt moments were shared.

The decision was not easy, they said, but they leave with full hearts.

If you never made it to Rori Momo, you missed out on a cozy neighborhood spot that quietly built a loyal following over the years.

The restaurant carried a solid 4.5 star rating on Google, with many customers praising the friendly service and consistent food.

Despite the name suggesting a Korean Japanese mix, the menu leaned more heavily into Korean comfort food.

Regulars came for dishes like kimchi stew, Korean fried chicken, budae jjigae, and bibimbap.

It was the kind of spot where you could pop in for a warming bowl of stew on a cold day without overthinking it.

Nothing fancy, just reliable and comforting.

The staff was also a big part of the appeal.

Multiple reviews mentioned how welcoming the team was, with some customers feeling like regulars from the very first visit.

The closure adds to what has been a rough stretch for Davie Street and the surrounding area.

Just recently, Barra Gitano down the road also shut down after less than 2 years in business.

Rori Momo now joins a growing list of Vancouver food spots that have recently closed like Chammani and Famoso Pizzeria on Commercial Drive and Grandjoy Hot Pot.
