If Emeri’s weekend matcha bar has been sitting on your “we should go” list, this is your last real chance to make it happen.

The South Granville pop-up at 1426 W 8th Ave is on its final stretch, with only three weekends left before the bar pours its last cups of the year.

Emeri shared on social media that the weekend-only bar inside Two Peas in a Pod Cafe & Catering is wrapping up for the season.

The final service on Saturday, December 20, and Sunday, December 21, from 10 am to 4 pm.

Once that last Sunday afternoon hits, the bar goes quiet again, and there is no “next weekend” to finally check it out.

We first wrote about Emeri back in July, when the online tea brand turned the catering space into its first semi-permanent matcha bar.

For three months, the 1,000-square-foot room has doubled as a matcha and hojicha bar, with counter seats, indoor tables, and a small patio for sunnier days.

Emeri is run by cofounders Josephine Au and Justin Ng, two Vancouver tea lovers who grew the brand from kitchen table blind tastings into an online shop shipping across North America.

They partner directly with family-owned farms in Japan and only use first harvest leaves, which is why the matcha and hojicha lineup reads more like a wine list than a typical cafe menu.

At the bar, every drink is built on 5 grams of first harvest matcha or hojicha, whisked to order, with oat and soy milk included at no extra cost.

The menu rotates weekly by region and cultivar, so one visit might lean floral and buttery while another focuses on deeper, toastier profiles.

Alongside the drinks, the counter has featured treats from Holy Mochi and BAK’D Cookies, plus shelves of ceramics and tea tools for anyone who wants to keep whisking at home.

The room stays simple and calming, with guests invited to sit at the bar and watch their drink come together, something reviewers say is worth the short line on busy weekends.

To close out the year, Emeri is running weekly giveaways, choosing one winner each week to receive a little at-home matcha setup to pick up at the bar.

The team has not yet shared what comes after December 21, only that they are grateful for the community that has shown up since July.

If you want to say you were there for the first season of Emeri Matcha Bar, grab a friend and make a weekend plan before the last cups are poured.
