It’s official! Sal Y Limón is back and serving tacos on Fraser Street.
Back in early July, we shared that after closing their longtime Kingsway location earlier due to redevelopment, the beloved local Mexican spot was moving into a fresh new home along Fraser.
The new unit, which used to house Taco n Todo Taqueria, quietly opened in late July.
This new location marks a smooth transition rather than a brand-new launch.
Sal Y Limón has been a staple in the city for over a decade, known for its family-style vibe, authentic Mexican street food, and housemade salsas.
The team behind it – Carolina, Adriana, Pepe, and Sebastien – has built a loyal following since their early days, with Carolina bringing recipes straight from her family’s restaurant in Manzanillo, Mexico.
At the new Fraser Street outpost, you’ll still find all the familiar favourites: tacos, burritos, tortas, and refreshing drinks like horchata and Jarritos.
And yes, the salsas still bring the heat.
While the Fraser location is now up and running, the team’s future East Hastings location is still in progress, after a long delay.
They now join a growing list of recently opened spots across the city, including Rollz Ice Cream, Daan Go Vancouver, and Just Another in Mount Pleasant.
