New Dessert Brand Eni Desserts Brings Playful Flavours to Vancouver

Vancouverโ€™s dessert scene got a little sweeter with the arrival of Eni Desserts, a brand-new project from pastry chef Celine Yeung.

Celine has been working in Vancouverโ€™s pastry world for years, including as a Chocolatier at BETA5 Chocolates, but this summer she officially launched her own concept.

Eni, which started in August, is her way of creating desserts that feel personal, expressive, and just a little playful.

โ€œI decided I was going to be a pastry chef when I was 13 and I never looked back,โ€ says Celine to Noms Magazine.

“My parents have been working in the food industry their entire lives and I grew up watching them, which may have subconsciously inspired me to follow in their footsteps.”

The name itself is a fun nod to her identity.

A friend suggested flipping her name backwards, taking the first three letters, and landing on Eni.

It stuck not only because it was short and catchy but also because of the wordplay it opened up โ€” desserts to enjoy โ€œeni time, eni where, with eni one.โ€

For Celine, Eni is all about sharing flavours she loves and the feeling of joy when she bakes.

Baking out of Commissary Connect on Industrial Avenue, Celine is currently focusing on small but thoughtful menus.

Right now, customers can choose between three cookies โ€” a classic chocolate chip, an earthy matcha chocolate, and an experimental cheddar cookie โ€” plus four rotating cake box flavours.

The cakes change every four weeks to keep things exciting, with this monthโ€™s lineup highlighting tea-and-fruit pairings like green grape jasmine and lychee genmaicha.

Her personal favourites?

โ€œThe cheddar cheese cookie, which I first discovered while travelling in Korea, and the lychee genmaicha cake box,โ€ she says.

โ€œIt was one of the first flavour pairings I worked on early in my pastry career, so itโ€™s really meaningful to me.โ€

Orders for Eni Desserts are available by preorder through an online form, with weekly pickups scheduled. Celine admits itโ€™s still a small-scale project for now, but the response has already been heartening. โ€œIt has been so special to see the orders come in and have people go out of their way to come pick up their desserts,โ€ she says.

For those who like their cookies with a twist and their cakes layered with flavour, Eni Desserts is a sweet new reason to look forward to dessert time in Vancouver.
