The wait is over for Mount Pleasant coffee lovers.
Hanoi Drip, the Vietnamese specialty drink brand from the team behind Ba Le Bakery, has officially landed at their East Broadway location.
We first reported earlier this month that signage had gone up at the longtime Ba Le spot, hinting at an expansion of their in-house drink concept.
And now, it’s all confirmed.
Thomas from the Ba Le and Hanoi Drip team shared with Noms Magazine that Hanoi Drip is opening inside Ba Le at 691 E Broadway with a weeklong soft launch from August 8 to 15, leading up to a full-on grand opening party on August 17.
If you haven’t tried it yet, Hanoi Drip is Ba Le’s coffee-focused venture that debuted last year at their Rupert Street location.
The concept also expanded to their Richmond shop and now makes its way to one of Vancouver’s busiest food corridors.
The brand specializes in Vietnamese-style drinks like creamy egg coffee, matcha coffee, and the fan-favourite ube coffee.
All their drinks are crafted using coffee beans grown and roasted in Vietnam, known for that signature bold, nutty, and dark chocolate profile.
But there’s more.
To celebrate the opening, Hanoi Drip is hosting a full-day Coffee Party on Saturday, August 17 from 11 AM to 4 PM.
Expect 20% off all drinks, free samples, a live DJ, an open patio, and a photobooth.
The first 50 guests will also receive a custom tote and exclusive Hanoi Drip merch.
They’re even introducing a brand-new dessert just for the launch: the Ca Phe Sua Tiramisu.
It’s a Vietnamese twist on the classic, layered with mascarpone and coffee-soaked ladyfingers using their house robusta brew.
With this third location now open, it’s clear Hanoi Drip is carving out a name of its own alongside Ba Le’s already loyal following.
And now, Mount Pleasant locals get to enjoy the banh mi and Vietnamese coffee combo without leaving the neighbourhood.
