Mike McBean, alongside his brother Steve, is the visionary behind Vegas Donuts.

Born and raised in Vancouver, Mike told Noms Magazine that the inspiration behind Vegas Donuts was from his grandparent’s donut shop in 1960s Las Vegas.

Although they never got to experience it firsthand, Mike wanted to carry on the legacy.

So it’s all about the roots and homage for Mike.

And what better place than the high-traffic, cannot-miss location of the former De Dutch restaurant on Knight Street, complete with a Vegas Donut sign that screams nostalgia?

Walking into Vegas Donuts will be like stepping back in time.

The shop’s interior, decked out in bright pink and blue, echoes the vibrant essence of old Las Vegas.

With about 1000 ft² of space, it offers a grab-and-go service, allowing customers to immerse themselves in a retro donut experience reminiscent of colorful 1960s diners.

Mike told Noms Magazine that they’ll be offering 3 simple kinds of donuts: classic, fancy, and the special-stuffed delights.

The star of the show? The High Roller—a sinfully delicious cake donut crowned with chocolate ganache, fudge, and chocolate shavings.

On the menu is also a Manhattan Minidog, Hot Soup with Bun and drinks.

And for the grand opening? Mike teased that Vegas Donuts is going all out with Elvis handing out free donuts, paying homage to the King’s love for these sugary treats during his Vegas days.

For those eager to dive into this sweet, retro-inspired adventure, stay tuned for the opening date.
