Downtown Vancouverโ€™s West End has been one of the busiest neighbourhoods this year when it comes to restaurant changes.

And it looks like another turnover is now on the horizon.

Denman Streetโ€™s Chef Ron, a well-loved Persian fusion restaurant, has been listed for sale.

The spot first opened in 2022, taking over the former Roost restaurant.

Chef Ron quickly built a loyal following for its diverse menu.

Diners came for juicy burgers, Persian kebabs, Mediterranean favourites, and traditional dishes like kaleh pacheh.

The restaurant also gained attention for its creative fusion bites. It currently holds a 4.5-star rating on Google with more than 1,000 reviews.

The business has been listed for $799,000. The 2,163 sq. ft. restaurant features 89 indoor seats and another 30 on its patio near English Bay.

The lease runs for 2.5 years with a five-year renewal option.

Rent is noted as $9,450, which the listing claims is relatively low for the area.

The listing also highlights two assigned parking spots, oversized storage, three freezers, and a walk-in cooler. It is fully licensed and versatile for many different cuisines.

According to the listing, the owners are stepping away from the restaurant scene to pursue a different field.

Whether a buyer takes over or not, Chef Ronโ€™s time in the neighbourhood may soon be coming to a close.

If it does close, it will join other recent Vancouver food spot losses. These include Bao Down, Babylon Cafe on Commercial Drive, and Off the Grid Waffle Cafe.
