Another change is coming to Yaletown, and this time it is a goodbye.
Isabelle’s, the after-supper club/lounge on Hamilton Street, has announced that it is now closed.
The venue shared the news on its Instagram page on January 27, posting a message that read, “After years of unforgettable memories, late nights, and moments that will live with us forever, we’re sharing that Isabelle’s is now closed.”

The post went on to thank everyone who walked through the doors, from staff and DJs to promoters, performers, regulars, and first-timers.
“This place was never just a venue,” the announcement continued. “It was energy, music, connection, and community, and you gave it life every single night.”
Isabelle’s first opened in February 2022, bringing a mix of cocktails, dancing, and bottle service to the neighbourhood.

The space was designed with a modern Mediterranean warmth and vintage Moroccan aesthetic, making it a spot for the late-night crowds looking for something a little more elevated than a typical bar.
The club was part of the Freehouse Collective group, which is the rebrand of the former Donnelly Group.
Freehouse Collective operates a number of well-known bars and restaurants around the city, including Sing Sing, Lamplighter, BrassFish, Three Brits, and Hundy.
The company made headlines back in 2023 when it filed for creditors protection, signaling financial challenges across the portfolio.

It is unclear whether the closure of Isabelle’s is directly related to those broader issues or if other factors were involved.
The shutdown means Yaletown loses one of its few late-night spots, a neighbourhood that has already seen its share of turnover in recent years.
As the Instagram post put it, “Isabelle’s may be closing its doors, but what happened inside them lives on with all of us.”
The venue joins a growing list of recently closed food and drink spots in Vancouver, including Kokoro Mazesoba in Kitsilano, Barra Gitano, and Rori Momo.
