Downtown Vancouver has lost another drink spot, and this one might surprise yogurt fans.
Hey I Am Yogost, the popular Chinese yogurt drink chain known for its purple rice yogurt and fruity mochi creations, has quietly shuttered its downtown location.
The shop, which first opened in December 2022, now sits completely covered up, signaling the end of its run in the cityโs core.

Founded in Shenzhen in 2017, Yogost built a following by offering all-natural yogurt drinks made with locally sourced milk, chewy handcrafted mochi, and fresh fruit.
Drinks like the Mango Rice Mochi Yogurt, Purple Rice Yogurt, and Brown Sugar Pearls Yogurt became signature picks, offering a balance of indulgence and a health-conscious twist.
The brand first arrived in BC with a Richmond store in 2020 and has expanded globally with more than 70 locations across Asia, Oceania, and North America.
But downtown regulars craving their yogurt fix will now have to make the trip to Yogostโs remaining Metro Vancouver locations in Richmond or Burnaby.
This quiet closure adds to the list of closures in Vancouverโs food scene this summer including Grab n Go, Take Five Cafe, and Fish Counter on Commerical Drive.
