Metrotown might be known for the mall, but the food scene around it has quietly become one of the strongest in Burnaby.
The Bite of Burnaby food festival is back from March 1 to 31 with over 75 participating restaurants across the city.
That’s a lot of spots to hit, so we’ve done the work of shortlisting some of the best menus in the Metrotown area for you below.
1. ZUBU Ramen Metrotown

If you’ve walked past ZUBU beside Metropolis and wondered whether it’s worth sitting down for, this is your sign.
Their Bite of Burnaby deal gets you a full three-course meal with a drink for $35.
Pick an appetizer like takoyaki or truffle ketchup shoestring fries, then choose from six ramen options including tonkotsu, spicy chicken, and a ramen flight if you’re the type who can never pick just one.
Finish with matcha or mango mochi ice cream and a Sapporo, house sake, or mocktail.
Ramen, dessert, and a drink for $35 is honestly a steal.
Price: $35
Address: 4575 Central Boulevard, Burnaby, BC
2. Saffron Indian Cuisine

Saffron’s been on Kingsway for over 20 years and has been voted Burnaby’s best Indian restaurant nine years running.
If you’ve somehow never been, this is your excuse.
They’re offering two three-course menus for Bite of Burnaby.
The vegetarian option is $28 with starters like aloo tikki chaat, mains like shahi paneer or malai kofta, and dessert.
The non-veg option is $30 and includes picks like chicken tikka, butter chicken or lamb rogan josh, all served with rice and naan.
Both finish with kheer or gulab jamun.
Heads up, the Bite of Burnaby dinner menus are available from 4pm.
Price: $28 (vegetarian) | $30 (non-vegetarian)
Address: 5-4300 Kingsway, Burnaby, BC
3. Trattoria by Italian Kitchen

You might know Trattoria from its Downtown Vancouver location, and you might not know that the Burnaby spot on Kingsway got a full renovation last year.
Not only is the space (especially the patio) beautiful, their $49 Bite of Burnaby three-course menu options are legit.
Starters include a beet and burrata salad, lobster bisque, and grilled artichokes on house focaccia.
For mains, you’re picking between red wine braised beef shortribs on creamy polenta, grilled arctic char on saffron risotto, or a wild mushroom pappardelle with brown butter and sage.
Cap it off with limoncello tiramisu or chocolate zeppole.
This is the splurge pick on the list, and it earns it.
Price: $49
Address: 102 – 4501 Kingsway, Burnaby, BC
4. Time & Place Kitchen | Bar

Here’s one that might fly under your radar.
Time & Place is inside the Hilton Vancouver Metrotown and it’s doing proper Pacific Northwest cooking with a strong BC focus.
Their three-course Bite of Burnaby menu is $45 with optional BC wine pairings for each course.
First course picks include Manila clams with chorizo on house focaccia or a classic French onion soup.
Mains go big with AAA Alberta braised beef on truffle mash, a four-hour duck braised ragu pasta, and pan-seared ling cod with chanterelles.
Finish with a Bailey’s Mozart cake or classic tiramisu.
Add the wine pairings from Quails Gate, Burrowing Owl, and others for $9 to $14 a glass and you’ve got yourself a proper date night.
Price: $45 (wine pairings extra)
Address: 6083 McKay Avenue, Burnaby, BC
5. Steve’s Poke Bar (Metrotown)

Looking for something fresh, quick, and easy on the wallet?
Steve’s keeps it simple with two Bite of Burnaby combos.
A mini traditional bowl with a free Hawaiian fruit tea for $20 (add $2 for unlimited toppings), or a signature bowl with two scoops and a tea for just $17.
They’ve grown to over 20 locations since 2017 and they stick to authentic Hawaiian-style poke, not the fusion kind.
At $17 to $20, this is the most affordable pick on our Metrotown list and a great option if you want a good meal without the full sit-down commitment.
Price: $17 – $20
Address: 2265B – 4700 Kingsway, Burnaby, BC
That wraps up our top picks for the Metrotown area but remember there are over 75 participating restaurants across Burnaby so check out the full list on the Bite of Burnaby website!
If you’re looking to try some new spots this month, Bite of Burnaby runs until March 31 so you’ve got plenty of time to eat your way through the city.
