Another quiet change has arrived at one of Richmondโs busiest food courts.
Parker Placeโs food court, a go-to for locals seeking affordable, comforting eats, has seen plenty of turnover this year.
And now, another stall has shuttered.
Best Rice Roll, which made fresh cheung fun (rice noodle rolls), appears to have closed sometime in late September.
When we stopped by recently, the stall was completely emptied out, and work had already begun to prepare the space for a new tenant.
Best Rice Roll first opened in 2023 and offering freshly made rice rolls with fillings like shrimp, BBQ pork, and beef.
Their menu also featured items like egg rolls, stuffed tofu rolls, and sides that perfectly captured the spirit of Hong Kong-style comfort food.
While Parker Place is often packed during lunch hours, especially with locals who know it for its hidden gems and wallet-friendly prices, itโs still a loss to see a newer vendor go.
Best Rice Roll now joins other recently closed spots like Grill Party, Gang Nam BBQ, and Kumo Sukiyaki on Alexandra Road.
