Where Tsawwassen Mills Is Located?
Tsawwassen Mills is located at 5000 Canoe Pass Way in Delta, 40 minutes south of downtown Vancouver and less than 5 minutes from the BC Ferries Tsawwassen Terminal.
Why Is Tsawwassen Mills Popular?
The name ‘Tsawwassen’ is translated into ‘land facing the sea’ in the North Straits Salish language, indicating the peninsula’s geographic location on the southwest corner of Delta.
Tsawwassen Mills’s claim to fame is its enormous footprint occupying 1.2 million square feet of the floor plan, making it the largest mall in Canada since 2009 on its opening day. It features an impressive design inspired by the First Nations architecture including a ceiling that resembles a longhouse.
Today, the mall is gorgeously adorned with dozens of art displays and the use of West Coast heavy timber that reflects a strong inspiration from the Pacific Northwest and the Coast Salish Indigenous people.
Emerging from this enormous space is a massive open concept food hall, a restaurant row that features international cuisine brands, plenty of fashion outlets, a sports dome, and entertainment facilities to give you a whale of time.
