This new outpost marks the third location for the cherished waffle brand, expanding the Nero legacy in Vancouver.

Nero Belgian Waffles started back in 2012 husband-and-wife duo, Jan and Eilnaz.

With a background in Belgium’s food and hotel industry and a dream of crafting a cozy coffee and waffle bar, they’ve brought a slice of Belgian culinary tradition to the Canadian West Coast.

At Nero, authenticity and quality are not just promises but practices.

Every morning, the team creates their waffle batter from scratch, using fresh, top-quality ingredients.

If the right ingredients can’t be sourced locally, they’re imported directly from Belgium, ensuring each waffle is as authentic as it is delicious.

Nero’s menu stars two Belgian waffle classics: Brussels and Liège.

Brussels waffles, light and crispy, suit sweet and savory tastes, while Liège waffles offer a soft, sweet chew from caramelized pearl sugar in brioche dough.

For variety, try mini Liège waffles, available in several flavours, filled, or glazed, all made fresh daily.

Taking over the spot previously occupied by Heirloom Juice Co. (closed in March 2023), the South Granville location is more likely to mirror the offerings of the Robson Street outpost due to the similar cozy unit size.

Scheduled to open in the summer of 2024, the new location will continue Nero’s tradition of bringing people together over the shared love of waffles.
