Back in December, we shared the exciting news that Big Way Hot Pot is expanding with five new locations in 2025, including Victoria, Langley, and Gilmore.
But the Gilmore location had many of us scratching our heads—where exactly is “Gilmore”?
Thanks to a sharp-eyed Noms Mag community member (@elizabeththe), we now have the answer: Gilmore Place, the new master-planned community by Onni Group, located right next to Gilmore Skytrain Station.
For those unfamiliar, this area is just a few blocks away from The Amazing Brentwood Mall, though locals (maybe just my social circle anyway) often refer to the entire area as “Brentwood” out of habit.
Gilmore Place is set to become a foodie destination, with Big Way joining a lineup of food spots like T&T Supermarket, Galbi KBBQ, Kinton Ramen, and Brooklyn Dumpling.
This will also be Big Way’s third location in Burnaby, but its first in the North Burnaby area.
The Gilmore location is slated to open in May 2025, finally giving folks in North Burnaby the chance to enjoy Big Way without needing to head to Metrotown area.
