The Big Way takeover isn’t slowing down anytime soon.
And now we finally have confirmed dates for their two much-anticipated Burnaby openings!
Back in December, we reported that Big Way Hot Pot was expanding into Lougheed and the Brentwood area as part of their aggressive 2025 growth plans.
Now, after months of renovations, both locations are gearing up to open, starting with Lougheed.
In a July 7th Instagram post, Big Way revealed that their Lougheed location is set to soft open on July 14th.
Situated in the newer section of The City of Lougheed Shopping Centre, just below TD Bank and right beside the freshly opened Stone KBBQ, the new outpost brings their signature self-serve hot pot experience to a bustling part of Ktown.
We happened to walk past the space last week and caught a glimpse through the ajar door.
Inside, the arched wall design, warm lighting, and signature plant print accents instantly reminded us of their Downtown Robson location.
It’s a modern, energetic vibe that fits perfectly with the area and with Lougheed’s growing crowd of residents, commuters, and students, this opening couldn’t come at a better time.
The same post also confirmed the Brentwood/Gilmore location is on track for an August opening.
That one’s inside Gilmore Place, the sleek new master-planned community by Onni Group, located steps away from Gilmore SkyTrain Station and just blocks from The Amazing Brentwood.
This new outpost will put Big Way alongside a stacked roster of food neighbours like T&T Supermarket, Galbi KBBQ, Kinton Ramen, and Brooklyn Dumpling.
It’ll also be their fourth Burnaby location, signaling just how strong the demand for build-your-own hot pot still is, despite the wave of similar concepts popping up in the city.
Big Way didn’t stop there.
Their Instagram post also teased timelines for more BC outposts: UVic in September 2025, and Tsawwassen Mills by December 2025.
It’s clear that Big Way is continuing their domination.
These two Big Way openings now joining other upcoming Burnaby food spots like 2025 Cafe, Crema, and Hei Hei Rice Roll.
