The restaurant purposely placed a black and white label where the “no tip” option should be, now reads “tip” and “thank you”.

The picture made rounds on various Reddit communities and people did not hold back on their dissatisfaction, with many indicating that such action by the restaurant is against Terms of Service of the payment terminal provider.

Another user suggested that this is dangerous as the restaurant has tampered with the machine with the stickers. Bad actors could potentially add a credit card skimmer underneath the stickers.

The food spot offers Korean fried chicken and desserts in a cafeteria-like service where you have to go to the counter to pick up your order.

That makes the situation of the forced gratuity even more shocking.

Tipping has been a hot hot topic across the country, with many expressing that it’s getting out of hand.
