Richmondโs dessert scene is about to get even bigger with the arrival of D Spot Dessert Cafe.
We spotted signage for the Canadian dessert chain up at Ironwood Plaza, where it will take over the former Koodo unit right beside Starbucks.
The interior looks nearly complete, with equipment already being moved in, suggesting the opening is just around the corner.
D Spot Dessert Cafe first launched in 2014 and has since grown to over 50 locations across Canada.
The brand opened its first BC shop in Delta in 2023, followed by another in Kelowna.
This Ironwood Plaza location will mark the first D Spot in Richmond.
The concept is known for its MASSIVE menu that covers both sweet and savoury cravings.
Guests can expect towering milkshakes, ice cream creations, specialty hot chocolates, and cakes paired with waffles, croffles, and French toast.
Their signature desserts include loaded sundaes, banana splits, skillet cookies, and indulgent chocolate-covered treats.
For those who want something savoury, the brand also offers pizzas, sandwiches, pastas, wings, and poutines, making it more of a full dining experience than just a dessert stop.
While it is not yet confirmed whether the Richmond shop will carry the full concept menu, the chainโs reputation is built on offering both decadent desserts and hearty food under one roof.
With the Richmond outpost on the horizon, D Spot Dessert Cafe now joins other new and upcoming food spots in the city, including The Food Court, Fluffle Cafe, and Lรคderach.
