Another global coffee giant is making its Canadian west coast debut and Richmond is getting it first.

A Noms Mag community member (@0370van) spotted signage for Cotti Coffee going up next to the T&T Supermarket in Lansdowne Centre.

And if the name doesn’t ring a bell, here’s the cliff notes.

Cotti Coffee is a massive Chinese coffee chain founded in 2022 by two former Luckin Coffee execs (another massive Chinese coffee chain) and has been growing at breakneck speed.

Since launching, it has expanded to over 13,000 locations across 28 countries, including Japan, South Korea, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, and even Hong Kong.

It opened its first Canadian location in Toronto just last fall.

And now, Richmond is set to be home to Cotti’s very first BC outpost.

It is considered the fourth largest coffee brand in the world, Cotti is known for its wallet-friendly prices (yes, drinks under $5), frequent promotions, and an extensive menu.

Expect options like an Orange Americano, Iced Shaken Orange Tea, Pampas Blue Coconut Latte, and their super aesthetic Stardust Crema Latte.

There’s no word yet on the opening date.

Richmond’s cafe scene has been heating up lately, especially with The Venti, a popular South Korean coffee chain, making its own Canadian debut here earlier this year.

Looks like coffee is finally getting its spotlight.
