UPDATE: Grand Opening deals have been revealed for Dec. 20th customers:
It seems December is shaping up to be an exciting month for Paris Baguette fans in Metro Vancouver.
While we just reported on the Downtown Vancouver location resurfacing with new updates, we now have official confirmation of the grand opening date for the highly anticipated Paris Baguette Coquitlam location.
Spotted by a community member, one of the owners of the Coquitlam outpost (Eric Chang) has just announced that the grand opening date will be December 20th.
It’s likely that it will open a few days before for a soft opening phase though.
This is great news for fans of the Korean-French-inspired bakery café chain, as both the Downtown and Coquitlam locations are set to open within the same month.
The store is located on the ground floor of the SOCO Tower 1 by Anthem building beside H Mart on North Road.
Opening beside Paris Baguette will be the first Sushi Mura in Coquitlam.
Managed by W.C. Bakery, the company licensed to operate Paris Baguette in Alberta and British Columbia, this new location is part of a well-coordinated effort to bring the brand’s unique offerings to local communities.
W.C. Bakery currently oversees four Paris Baguette locations in Calgary and Edmonton, but it’s worth noting that they do not operate the Downtown Vancouver location.
Paris Baguette, which was founded in 1988 in South Korea, has grown into a global sensation with over 4,000 stores worldwide.
Its mission to reestablish the neighbourhood bakery café experience resonates with its fans.
The Coquitlam location is expected to offer the same signature features as its counterparts in Toronto and Calgary, including a self-serve display filled with freshly baked pastries, breads, and cakes, an open kitchen, and standout items like the Strawberry Soft Cream Cake and mochi donuts.
This addition to the North Road area will join an already vibrant community of popular bakeries and cafés, including Maison Mori and Standing Egg Cafe.
It’ll be interesting to see how Paris Baguette carves out its space in this competitive landscape.
