A familiar purple logo is about to land in Downtown Vancouver.
Earlier this year, South Korean coffee chain theVenti made its international debut with a Richmond outpost, followed by a second location in Coquitlam this spring.
Now, we spotted them setting up shop downtown, taking over the former Hey I Am Yogost space that quietly shut down earlier this month.
For those who missed the hype, theVenti first launched in Busan back in 2014 with a simple goal: serve solid coffee at wallet-friendly prices.
Fast forward a decade, and the chain now boasts around 1,300 franchises across South Korea.
Their Canadian expansion has been moving quickly, and this Downtown Vancouver spot will mark their third location in Metro Vancouver.
The brand is best known for its oversized drinks and affordable pricing.
Aside from fast food staples like Tim Hortons or McDonaldโs, itโs one of the few places where you can find caffeinated drinks for around $4.
The menu spans classic coffees, iced lattes, fruit juices, and Korean-inspired drinks such as Misugaru lattes and Yulmu lattes.
Ice-blended creations round out the offerings, catering to anyone who likes their caffeine with a dessert-like twist.
In Korea, they work with various celebrities on collaborations like Big Bang’s G-Dragon for a smoothie drink.
Design-wise, theVenti shops are sleek and minimal, with self-ordering kiosks and bold splashes of their signature purple.
While seating has been limited at previous locations, the focus has been on fast service and grab-and-go convenience.
Thereโs no official word yet on when the Downtown Vancouver location will open, but locals can expect the same menu thatโs been drawing attention in Richmond and Coquitlam.
The arrival of theVenti joins other upcoming Vancouver spots like TOUK, Doe Coffee Strathcona, and Chun Fun How Kingsway.
