Metro Vancouver’s coffee scene has been seeing a lot of new faces recently.
The latest addition is Elysees Patisserie & Bistro, a charming bakery cafe that has just soft opened on November 12th.
Located in the newly constructed Alliance Française building, Elysees is bringing a taste of French elegance to the neighbourhood, right by the bustling Oakridge Mall redevelopment.
Inspired by the sophistication of French patisserie paired with the warmth of a cozy coffee break, Elysees aims to offer both a delightful culinary experience and a welcoming atmosphere.
From our initial chat with a staff in August, Elysees planned to serve as both a coffee shop by day and a restaurant by night.
But it seems the ongoing delays have led them to focus solely on their bakery cafe concept for now.
On the menu, you’ll find classic caffeinated and non-caffeinated favourites like lattes, flat whites, cortados, and chai lattes, as well as a selection of teas.
The pastry menu features seasonal items alongside staples like butter croissants, pain au chocolat, sourdough loaves, cookies, and baguettes.
The cafe also offers a small but carefully curated lunch menu, which includes sandwiches, soups, and salads—perfect for a light midday meal.
The space itself is designed with a minimalistic, airy vibe that instantly feels both sophisticated and welcoming.
The cozy seating, consisting of sleek tables and chairs in light natural wood, is complemented by potted plants and framed wall art, giving the interior a relaxed yet trendy touch.
While the cafe is currently open from 8 AM to 4 PM, it offers a fantastic new spot for anyone seeking an aesthetic coffee shop experience.
Elysees joins a growing list of new coffee spots in Metro Vancouver, including recent additions like Cafe Algan at Cambie Gardens and Miion Cafe in Richmond.
