Back in January, we shared that a new French-inspired coffee shop was gearing up to open in the Joyce-Collingwood area.
Well, good news—Jack’s Spot Cafe has officially soft opened as of February 5th!
For those who missed our first report, Jack’s Spot Cafe is the latest project from chef and owner Stephanie Wong, who left her banking job, trained in Michelin-starred restaurants, and opened the award-winning Roots in Hong Kong before moving to Vancouver.
ALL of that in a span of 18 months.
Wild and impressive!
Inspired by her cheeky Jack Russell, Jack, this cafe blends French pastries, sourdough breads, and locally roasted coffee into one charming neighbourhood spot.
And now that they’re finally open, locals have already hit up the spot to see what’s on the menu.
According to Vanfoodventure, who went on opening day, their pastry case had a solid lineup of freshly baked goodness including butter croissants, almond chocolate chip cookies, canelés, madeleines, brioche buns, sourdough loaves, and focaccia sandwiches.
So if you’re in the mood for something sweet or a savoury bite, there’s something here to fuel your pastry cravings.
As for the space?
Donna stumbled upon Jack’s Spot Cafe on the first day of opening and has a great video showing how cute the space is.

It’s giving modern yet cozy cute vibes, with clean lines, soft wood tables, and sleek mirrors, making it a perfect spot for casual hangs, work sessions, or grabbing a treat to go.
If you’re a sucker for flaky croissants and a well-made latte, Jack’s Spot Cafe is definitely one to check out.
According to their post, the hours are limited to 9am – 4pm, Wednesday to Sunday.
