Vancouver’s coffee scene is thriving, and there’s yet another addition to the growing list of bakery cafes.
Cafe Episode, a new Korean bakery cafe, has recently soft-opened just a block away from Renfrew Skytrain Station.
The cafe’s interior features a modern, minimalist design with clean lines and warm lighting that creates a cozy yet contemporary vibe.
A distinctive curved wall adds character to the space, but we can’t help but think of another recently opened cafe with the same wall design (Cafe Algan).
The cafe is rather spacious.
The layout is perfect for catching up with a friend or partner, though it’s less suited for studying or working due to the lack of power outlets.
When it comes to the menu, Cafe Episode offers a mix of classic and specialty drinks.
You’ll find your usual lattes, americanos, and teas, alongside specialty options like the Honey Biscoff Latte, Cream Latte, and a velvety Einspanner.
For baked goods, everything is made in-house daily.
The lineup includes croissants, Korean salt bread, coffee buns, and a selection of small cakes such as strawberry cake and a delightful sweet – but not too sweet – potato cake.
The sweet potato cake, in particular, might ring a bell for fans of North Road’s Cafe Bono.
According to the Cafe Episode staff, their baker previously worked at Cafe Bono, lending a familiar touch to many of the menu items.
However, it’s worth noting that the two cafes are not officially affiliated.
Cafe Episode joins a wave of recent openings in Metro Vancouver’s growing bakery cafe scene, including Cafe Algan, Elysees, Tona, Miion, and AVIK Cafe.
It’s a welcome addition for coffee and dessert lovers.
If you’re in the area, make sure to check out this cozy new spot and indulge in some delicious baked goods and unique drinks.
