Gong Cha Korea did just that with their new Pearlbokki Milk Tea!
In case you didn’t know, tteokbokki is a beloved Korean snack made of chewy rice cakes bathed in spicy sauce.
It’s a go-to street food snack among Koreans for good reason!
Now, picture that together with milk tea.

This is definitely not your usual drink but it’s an interesting combo of spicy Tteokbokki sauce and milk tea!
Gong Cha launched this totally out-of-the-blue concoction on April 1st, and it’s NOT just a prank.
Yup, it’s for real and multiple people have got it and tried it.
Wondering how they make it?
The process is quite creative. They boil the tapioca pearls in spicy Tteokbokki sauce, giving it that fiery rice cake flavor everyone loves.
The best part? You can have it in two different variations: original (sweet & spicy) or mala spicy for an extra kick!
Aside from that, it’s super affordable too, costing only 2,300 and 2,500 won respectively.
Gong Cha made sure to serve the pearls separately on top of the milk tea, so you can enjoy each flavor by itself or mix them if you’d like!
