Purebread, a gem born in Whistler over 15 years ago, is on the rise again!
They are literally baking their way into the hearts of Vancouverites with two new locations set to open in Kitsilano and UBC in 2024 and 2025.
A Whistler Wonder Grows
Purebread started as a family endeavor, growing from a Whistler staple to a beloved name with multiple outposts across the province.
Now under Coho Commissary’s wing (they bought Purebread last year), the bakery continues its legacy, with the founders still consulting to ensure every crumb and crust retains that Purebread magic.
Kitsilano: From Pies to Pastries
Kitsilano is buzzing with anticipation as Purebread prepares to transform the former Pie Hole location into a new haven for pastry lovers by 2024.
This spot promises to offer the same cozy ambiance and delectable treats Purebread fans adore.
UBC’s Timber Triumph
The UBC campus awaits a bakery behemoth set to occupy the Gateway Building’s new mass timber structure.
Slated for a grand opening in September 2025, this location is geared to be the largest Purebread yet, serving up smiles and slices to students and faculty alike.
Slow Rise to Perfection
The strategy is slow growth, prioritizing quality and community connection. Coho’s careful expansion plan aims to ensure that each new Purebread location fits well into the neighbourhood’s fabric, becoming a spot locals can’t imagine their block without.
