Another major Asian tea brand is heading to Metro Vancouver, and this one comes from the company behind one of the biggest bubble tea chains on the planet.
Signage for Unique Green has been spotted by a Noms Mag community member at CF Richmond Centre, marking what will be the Taiwanese brand’s first location in Canada.
It will be opening just steps from SportsChek.

No opening date has been announced yet.
If the name is not on your radar, it probably will be soon.
Unique Green was founded in 2024 by the team behind Sharetea, one of Taiwan’s largest bubble tea chains with over 500 locations worldwide.
It is the group’s first new brand in 32 years, and it was named Taiwan’s strongest tea brand in 2024.
Unlike Sharetea’s classic bubble tea menu, UG Tea is built around floral teas and low-calorie options made with 100 per cent whole-leaf tea and real floral ingredients.

The signature product is the Fifteen Jasmine Flowers Green Tea, which uses a traditional triple-scenting technique to infuse the aroma of 15 real jasmine flowers into every cup.
Other popular drinks include Osmanthus Light Oolong, Camellia Red Oolong, Hibiscus Pu’er, and fruit teas like Grapefruit Jasmine.
Like many of the newer tea chains coming out of Asia, UG Tea uses an automated smart brewing machine.
UG boasts about using AI technology so that they can complete the entire drink-making process in an average of seven seconds.
The machine automatically adjusts the tea-to-water ratio based on each customer’s sugar and ice level to keep the flavour consistent across every order.
It also continuously calibrates after each cup, feeding data back to the system in real time.
The technology even shortens employee training from the typical one to two months down to about two days.
Unique Green operates locations across Taiwan and Hong Kong, and opened its first North American store in San Gabriel, California in late 2025, followed by Bellevue, Washington in January 2026.
Both U.S. outposts feature a futuristic design for their stores, which got people calling it Gentle Monster-esque.
It will be interesting to see whether the Richmond outpost will follow that path or the more clean and floral design as the ones in Asia.
One unique thing about the brand is also its commitment to plant one tree for every 1,000 cups sold.
Not the best ratio, but better than nothing?
The Richmond Centre location adds to a growing wave of new food spots at the mall and surrounding area.
The first %Arabica in Vancouver proper recently opened inside the centre, and chains like Breka Bakery, Big Way Hot Pot, and Marugame Udon are slated for the nearby Park Road development.
There is no confirmed opening date for UG Tea yet, but the signage is up and clearly visible at the mall.
