If you grew up eating in Richmond, this news is going to sting.
Wo Fung Noodle House, the legendary spot that introduced many locals to the addictive crunch of “Wind Sand” chicken wings, has announced it is shutting down.
Multiple Noms Magazine community members (@chowwithcheery and @apandfu) spotted the closure notice taped to the front door this week, and the timeline is incredibly short.

According to the sign, the restaurant on Park Road will officially close its business on December 15, 2025.
This isn’t just a branch closing; it marks the end of a 30-year family legacy.
To understand the loss, you have to know the history.
According to our research, the family started as a humble stall inside the Old Aberdeen Centre food court in the 90s.
Yea the OG one.

They eventually expanded to a standalone restaurant on Alexandra Road before relocating to their current Park Road location in 2017.
While there is still a stall in the current Aberdeen Centre called Wu Fung Dessert that serves similar wings, long-time fans may know the difference.
The family actually sold that food court spot back to a friend in 2010.
That means the Park Road location was the last remaining outpost operated by the original family.
For decades, this was the place to go for customizable Hong Kong-style cart noodles and those famous Wind Sand Chicken Wings: crispy, garlic-flecked, and famously juicy.
While the exact future of the unit is unclear, the neighbourhood around it is changing rapidly.

Directly across the street, the “One Park” project has been completed, bringing in modern chains like Sushi Lovers and Deer One Hot Pot.
The land that Wo Fung sits on seems prime for redevelopment as well.
Now, you only have a few days left to sit in those wooden chairs and order one last round of wings & cart noodles.
We recommend going sooner rather than later, as lines are expected to be long as loyal fans stop by to say goodbye.
Wu Fung Dessert in Aberdeen will be sticking around from what we know. So if you really want the chicken wings, you can still go there.
Wo Fung will be joining other recently closed Richmond food spots like T+Patisserie, T&T Super Market ORA, and Bengong’s Tea Yaohan.
