Downtown Vancouver’s West End has been seeing a lot of changes in its food scene over the last year, and now, another new spot has officially opened.

Stackhouse Steak Sandwich is here, and if you love a stacked, no-frills, meat-loaded sandwich, you’re gonna want to check this out.

Chef Eric Lee, who previously worked on Damso and Oiso Kimchi Cafe, is back in the West End, where it all started for him 13 years ago.

If you remember Oiso Kimchi Cafe, that project is still in motion as it gears up to take over the former Daigyo Cafe space on Robson.

But in the meantime, Eric has started Stackhouse to serve up some serious steak sandwiches.

Located in the former Helka Cafe spot on Davie Street, Stackhouse keeps things simple.

The menu? Straight to the point.

You walk in, you know exactly what you’re about to devour.

Eric describes it best: “Stackhouse stacks steak for your sandwich.”

And he’s not exaggerating.

The lineup includes seriously loaded sandwiches like the Steak Tartare Sandwich, Dry Aged Beef Brisket Sandwich, and the signature Stackhouse Steak Sandwich.

If you’re looking for something on the side, you can grab Caesar salad, French onion soup, potato chips, or smashed potatoes to round out your meal.

The focus here is on quality and quantity, ensuring every bite is packed with flavor.

With 16 seats packed into a 600 sqft space, the vibe is small, straightforward, and steak-focused—just how Eric envisioned it.

The design is clean and minimal, creating a welcoming yet no-nonsense atmosphere perfect for a quick but indulgent bite.

Swing by if you’re a meat lover!
