Vancouver’s Chinese food is well known to be some of the best in North America.
And the 2024 Chinese Restaurant Awards held yesterday, at The Vancouver Club, showcased some of the very best Chinese and Taiwanese spots, highlighting diverse flavours and culinary talent.
Previously we reported their longlist of 30 restaurants, now they’ve shortlisted it even further.
The awards were split into 3 different designations: Individual Awards, Elite15, and Critic’s Choice Signature Dish Awards.
The Chinese Restaurant Awards’ team of 21 judges operates independently, ensuring a rigorous and impartial selection process.
Notable judges include Lee Man, the judging panel chair, Brendon Matthews, former Globe & Mail food critic Alexandra Gill, Bernice Chan from the South China Morning Post, Ben Lu of the award-winning TV series Blood and Water, and Emily Lin, VP of Vancouver Wine School.
Each judge brings expertise and a passion for Chinese cuisine, contributing to the celebration of Vancouver’s vibrant culinary landscape.
