La Taqueria is once again making big moves, this time announcing the closure of its North Vancouver location as it consolidates operations and looks ahead to a new chapter.
The team shared on August 26th that they have completed the transition of their commissary kitchen from North Vancouver to the Comedor by La Taqueria on Yukon Street.
As part of the shift, the North Vancouver restaurant will close its doors on Saturday, August 30, 2025.
โNorth Vancouver has been such a wonderful community to be part of, and we are deeply grateful for the warmth and support weโve received over the years,โ said Marcelo Ramirez.
Guests are invited to stop by one last time this week to enjoy a final taco fiesta before the lights go out.
This marks another closure for the La Taqueria brand in 2025.
Back in May, the group bid farewell to its original West Hastings location after 16 years, a spot that helped define Vancouverโs taco scene and introduced many locals to their first taqueria-style tacos.
That closure was tied to a redevelopment project.
But while the goodbyes have been difficult, La Taqueria is far from slowing down.
With the commissary now centralized, the team says the move will help streamline operations and set the stage for their newest venture, the highly anticipated Pinche Taco Shop on Seymour Street.
The new spot is setting up across from SFU Harbour Centre, inside the new 601 Waterfront Hub Tower.
Promising a sharper and more curated menu, it is expected to deliver what they call a true pinche taco shop experience.
For taco lovers in Vancouver, it means that while some doors are closing, new ones are about to open.
