We’ve got more bittersweet news that’s stirring up the local food scene.
The Arbor, a gem in Vancouver’s crown of vegan restaurants, has announced they are closing its doors next month after 7.5 years of service.
It’s a tough pill to swallow as the restaurant was one of the top vegetarian and plant-forward spots in the city.
No clichés. No hard feelings. We think vegetables are rad, and it’s been our privilege to serve them to our community.
Paul, Shira, Scott & The Arbor Team
Opened in 2016, The Arbor quickly became a hotspot on busy Main Street, serving up plant-based comfort classics.
Its sister restaurant and Michelin Recommended spot, The Acorn, sits just a few steps away.
Unlike its fine-dining counterpart, The Arbor carved out its own niche with a more laid-back vibe.
The duo allowed locals to choose their vibe to enjoy some top quality vegetarian food.
At the Arbor, it’s all about real food, drawn from the goodness of vegetables. Every dish, from their in-house ketchup to the award-winning vegan burger, is crafted with ingredients sourced from local farmers.
Their approach is simple: showcase vegetables in all their glory, without leaning on meat substitutes.
As the doors prepare to close on April 7, The Arbor isn’t just saying goodbye; it’s inviting us all for one last hurrah.
It’s a chance to relive the memories, indulge in your fav dishes, and toast with a glass of rosé in the garden patio.
It’s a farewell that celebrates everything The Arbor has shared with the community.
