Croissant lovers, it looks like Vancouver is about to be even flakier (oops)—in the best way possible.
One of the city’s top spots for buttery, golden perfection, Angus T Bakery, is expanding with two new locations set to open this year.
That’s right, soon you won’t have to trek all the way to Yaletown for one of their legendary croissants because they’re setting up shop in River District and South West Marine Drive.
If you haven’t had an Angus T yet (where have you been?), let’s get you up to speed.
They first opened back in 2018 in Yaletown and with the slogan like “Defined by croissant”, which is a bold statement—you bet they are quite serious about their croissants.
And they absolutely back up their claim.
Known for their dedication to traditional baking methods and high-quality ingredients sourced from both France and Vancouver, Angus T has built a reputation for making some of the best croissants in the city.
And they don’t just stick to classic flavours—fan favourites include Pistachio Raspberry Croissants, Green Tea Croissant, and double-baked almond croissant.
The bakery expanded to Park Royal in 2021, and now it looks like they’re ready to give Vancouver even more love.
According to their website and social media, the new locations will be at River District location and South West Marine Drive.
Angus T told Noms Magazine that “South West Marine Drive, which will be a central kitchen for Angus T, mainly focuses on product making and testing. We do have plans to open a few hours everyday to customers, more for large orders pick up and limited croissants and coffee service for the nearby neighbourhood.”
That location they say is slated to open this Fall 2025.
Whereas the River District one will largely mirror the croissant and coffee offering as their current Yaletown and Park Royal locations.
The River District one is slated to open around Christmas time.
Our source shared with Noms Magazine that the River District one will be part of one of the newer developments in the master-planned community, while the South West Marine Drive spot is potentially to be in one of the three new developments near the Marine Drive Canada Line Station.
However, until Angus T releases the actual addresses, the specific locations are not confirmed.
This is great news for Vancouverites as they’ll soon have even more access to these flaky, buttery works of art!
