Downtown Vancouver’s On Yogurt Closes Its Doors After 9 Years Of Service

Earlier this month we shared the unfortunate closure of Richmond’s Jack Frost Cafe.

Now we have to share another dessert cafe leaving the scene…

Downtown Vancouver’s On Yogurt has now sadly closed its doors after their announcement of the shut down on their Instagram on June 21st.

On Yogurt opened back in 2015, when the founders, fresh out of college and newly engaged, poured their hearts into creating a cozy rolled frozen yogurt and ice cream shop.

They wanted a place where people could enjoy delicious desserts and make lasting memories with various board games available.

The owners made the difficult decision to shut down the shop “due to personal reasons and a reevaluation of [their] career path”.

At the end of May, the owners revealed their decision to sell was from the difficulties they’ve been facing and life changes (loss of two family members during the pandemic and welcoming two new babies) that have pushed them to seek a different work mode.

On Yogurt’s closure is a significant loss for Vancouver’s dessert scene as another long-time spot unfortunately is gone.

The last day of On Yogurt was June 23rd.
