Huh? Vancouver’s Top Japanese Restaurant Expands To A City You Wouldn’t Expect…

Bet you didn’t expect this one…

One of Vancouver’s proud sushi creations is landing in Amurica – Texas of all places.

Yup we’re talking about the creators of Aburi Sushi – Miku and the parent restaurant group, Aburi Restaurants.

We got wind that they’re now opening a takeout-only concept called Aburi Oshi Sushi in Austin, Texas.

Aburi Restaurants has created top-tier Vancouver restaurants like Miku, Minami and Michelin one star Aburi Hana in Toronto.

They’ve also been moving into more casual concepts lately like WA Bagel and a food stall temaki concept called Aburi at Waterworks Food Hall.

This Austin concept will be their first takeout only brand.

It will mainly specialize in offering its renown flame-seared, pressed sushi like the Aburi Salmon Oshi and Aburi Yellowtail Oshi.

The menu also includes a variety of rolls, like the classic California Roll with a special twist and combos like tuna and cucumber.

The new Austin location is nestled within CloudKitchens, a national chain known for its ghost kitchens.

Aburi Restaurants is no doubt a success story to come out of the Vancouver hospitality scene.

Other brands that has been expanding out of the province lately have been Earls, Glowbal’s Black & Blue, and Hello Nori – each making their presence in Toronto.
