Award-Winning Vietnamese Restaurant Shuts Down Vancouver Location After 7 Years & To Relocate

When it comes to Vietnamese joints in the city, Mr.Red Cafe is one of the best that locals know and love.

Well, it looks like they’re on the move!

The award-winning Northern Vietnamese restaurant shared on their Facebook and Website that they have closed their East Hastings location and are relocating.

The East Hastings spot has closed as of July 11th, 2024.

Last year, they also quietly shuttered their sister restaurant, Hanoi Old Quarters.

Founded by Chef Hong Duong and Rose Nguyen, Mr. Red Cafe quickly became a staple in the community.

Known for its cozy vibe and delicious dishes, the current East Hastings location opened in July 2017 and has been a fav among locals and foodies for many years.

At Mr. Red Cafe, tradition meets quality in their authentic Vietnamese cuisine, handed down through generations.

They are celebrated for their fresh ingredients and intricate dishes, particularly their pho varieties like Pho Ga and Pho Bo.

The cafe’s owners expressed heartfelt gratitude to their customers in an announcement, highlighting the unwavering support from the E. Hastings Sunrise community.
