President’s Choice English-Style Gingersnap Cookies have been recalled across Canada over metal wire, according to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.
The recall covers the 350 g box with UPC 0 60383 76819 5.
Only two best-before dates are affected: 2027 FE 08 and 2027 MR 14.
In the month codes CFIA uses on date labels, that’s February 8 and March 14, 2027.
It’s a pretty narrow window, so one look at the best-before date will tell you.
CFIA posted the notice on October 8, with a recall date of October 6.

The notice files it under extraneous material and says only that the cookies were “recalled due to metal wire.”
Yikes.
It doesn’t say how the wire got into the product, how much was found, or whether anyone has been hurt.
This is a Class 2 recall.
CFIA defines that as “a moderate risk that consuming the food may lead to short-term or non-life threatening health problems,” one step below Class 1, which is reserved for a high risk of serious health problems or death.
It was posted as a recall notification rather than a public warning, which CFIA says means “the health risk is lower or more limited in scope.”
If you do have a box with one of those dates, CFIA’s general advice for recalled food is not to eat it, and to “throw it away safely or return it to where you bought it.”
If you’re not sure whether yours is affected, CFIA says to contact the retailer.
The full notice, with the UPC and both codes, is on the Government of Canada recalls site.
