The city’s culinary landscape is about to be leveled up as Aburi Restaurants Canada and Westbank join forces to present Aburi Hana Vancouver, a contemporary Japanese dining experience, located within the upcoming Alberni by Kengo Kuma development.

Who is Aburi Hana?

Aburi Hana is one of the top Japanese restaurants in Toronto. Its the menu is built around the Kyōto-style Kaiseki concept, a refined dining experience originating from Kyoto, Japan, showcasing artfully crafted seasonal dishes. By incorporating signature Aburi (flame-seared) techniques and modern gastronomy, the chefs at Aburi Hana offer a contemporary twist on this ancient culinary art form.

Aburi Hana Vancouver, part of the acclaimed Aburi Restaurants Canada group, takes pride in redefining ‘washoku’ or Japanese food culture.

The group is known for its award-winning Japanese restaurants like Miku, Miku Toronto, Minami, Minami Toronto, WA! CURRY, one MICHELIN star Aburi Hana in Toronto, and more.

The dining experience at Aburi Hana Vancouver will be nothing short of spectacular. The menu showcases harmonious blends of Japanese ingredients, seasonings, and cooking methods with local elements. Overall it will feature the same menu and tastes as their Toronto location.

A renowned chef from Japan, who recently served as sous chef at a prestigious two MICHELIN star establishment, will helm the restaurant.

Aburi Hana Vancouver will be situated on the ground floor of Alberni by Kengo Kuma, occupying a nearly 3,000-square-foot space at the corner of Alberni Street and Cardero Street.

Next door to Aburi Hana Vancouver, a second yet-to-be-announced project by Aburi Restaurants Canada and Westbank is in the works.

This project promises to be just as inspired and innovative as Aburi Hana Vancouver.

Aburi Restaurants Group sure is busy as as recently launched their Japanese Curry restaurant in Downtown and are working on a Japanese bagel brand.
