Bites of Burnaby is a month-long food festival that takes place in Burnaby city, where various restaurants offer special multi-course menus.
It’s an excellent opportunity to try new spots and revisit old favs this March!
If you’re living or traveling around the Metrotown neighbourhood, we’ve looked through all the participating spots to pick out the ones we think are worth going to.
1. Zubu Ramen Metrotown
Price: $30 for 1 person or $69.99 for 2
Cuisine: Japanese
Zubu Ramen marries tradition with innovation, offering a vibrant blend of classic and contemporary flavours.
For their Bite of Burnaby menu, you have the option for one person ($30) or two people ($69.99). Dive into a wide selection that includes temaki, hand-made gyoza, and a variety of ramen, all rounded off with tempting desserts like Chestnut Square Cake or Mochi Ice Cream.
At Zubu, each meal is a memorable journey, fueled by innovative dishes and a vibrant, youthful vibe.

2. Earls Kitchen + Bar Station Square
Price: $35 lunch 3 courses | $45 dinner 3 courses
Cuisine: West Coast
Earls has always stood out for its consistent food and service, making for an ideal choice if you’re stuck on where to eat.
Conveniently at Station Square, it offers plenty of parking and is close to the Metrotown Skytrain Station.
Like last year, they are offering both lunch and dinner menus featuring their signature popular items such as Angry Lettuce Wraps Duo, Truffle Tortellini and Pizzas on their menu.
Afterward, walk it off by taking a stroll around Metropolis, catch a movie at the Cineplex, or hit up the CHQ arcade!

3. Something Sweet Cafe
Price: $10 or $30
Cuisine: Asian
Located near the Royal Oak Skytrain Station, Something Sweet is known for their fluffy egg sandwiches, shaved ice desserts, and unique beverages.
Inside is an Instagram-worthy aesthetic that blends a 2D café look with whimsical clouds and hot air balloons adorning the ceiling.
For Bite of Burnaby, they’re offering two options: a single-serving deal for $10, featuring a Ham & Cheese Croffle with a Sunny Day Melon Drink, or a duo delight for $30, which includes a Moo Moo Cow Sando, an Eggcellent Sando, paired with a Mango Sparkling Soda and a classic Milk Tea with Pearls.
This café’s charming ambiance and special menu make it a great spot to do some work at or to catch up with a friend!

4. Time & Place
Price: $42 for 3 courses | optional wine pairing $65
Cuisine: Pacific North West Farm-to-Table
Time & Place at the Hilton Metrotown stands as a testament to the Pacific Northwest’s bounty, offering a menu that celebrates local produce and ingredients sourced from its own rooftop garden.
With a 3-course menu priced at $42.00, and an optional wine pairing, you can explore a range of flavours from charred corn soup to a succulent grilled flat iron steak.
Desserts like the Cannoli Trio and Lemon Coconut Pie provide a sweet finish.

5. Saffron Indian Cuisine

Saffron, a labour of love since its founders arrived in Canada in 1972, has been Burnaby’s top Indian restaurant for 9 consecutive years.
With a Bite of Burnaby menu featuring vegetarian ($28.00) and non-vegetarian ($32.00) options, Saffron offers an authentic taste of India in a rustic, warmly decorated setting.
This spot is a must-visit for anyone looking to explore the rich flavours and spices of Indian cuisine during the Bite of Burnaby event.
