Exciting news for Korean BBQ fans in Burnaby!
Sooda, one of the city’s fav Korean restaurants, will be moving!
We’ve spotted signs that Sooda will be taking over the former White Spot’s R+D Kitchen unit in the Amazing Brentwood TABLES food court—a unit that’s been vacant since April 2024.
If you’ve been to Sooda, you know it’s famous for its Sooda Special—loaded hot plates with stir-fried pork or chicken, corn, rice, cheese, and egg rolls.
These are perfect for sharing with friends.
Another standout?
Their 46cm Sooda Box, a sushi roll so long it always turns heads.
Since opening back in 2017, just steps away from the Amazing Brentwood mall, Sooda has been a go-to spot for Korean BBQ lovers.
They even expanded in December 2022 with a Gastown location.
But with this move, things are shaking up.
We reached out to the Sooda team, and they confirmed with Noms Magazine that their original location near the mall will be converted to a new restaurant.
Sooda will make its new home at the Amazing Brentwood food court, and they’re bringing some exciting changes along.
The team hinted at a revamped menu with “a lot of alcohol” options and a brand new lunch lineup, making it even more appealing for a casual bite or after-work hangout.
Although the signage currently says construction progress is at 25%, the Sooda team is aiming for a December 2024 opening.
