It looks like a big international coffee chain is coming to Burnaby!

Just weeks after we broke the news of Chinese coffee giant Cotti making its BC debut in Richmond, another outpost is springing up.

This time in Burnaby’s City of Lougheed Shopping Centre.

We spotted signage for Cotti Coffee up on the ground floor of the mall, right across from Coles Books.

And yes, it looks like the global chain is making good on its rapid international expansion plans.

For those who missed our earlier coverage, Cotti Coffee is one of the fastest-growing coffee chains in the world.

Launched in 2022 by two former Luckin Coffee execs, the brand has already exploded to over 13,000 locations across 28 countries, with recent launches in Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, and Indonesia.

Their first Canadian location opened in Toronto in 2024, with Richmond set to be the first in BC.

And now, Burnaby is next.

Cotti is known for its affordable prices (yes, you’ll find drinks under $5), viral-style promotions, and a menu that includes playful drinks like the Orange Americano, Stardust Crema Latte, Iced Shaken Orange Tea, and their bright Pampas Blue Coconut Latte.

If the Lougheed location follows the same vibe, expect it to be both aesthetic and wallet-friendly.

There’s no word yet on when this new Lougheed location will open, but if Richmond is any clue, it shouldn’t be too far off.

Cotti will be joining other upcoming food spots in Burnaby like Big Way Hot Pot, Hei Hei Rice Roll, Crema, and 2025 Cafe.
