Yaletown locals, brace yourselves for some sad news.

The beloved family-run bakery cafe, Small Victory, has closed its doors after 10 wonderful years.

A heartfelt message appeared on their front door, announcing the end of their lease and their decision not to renew at this location.

The last day was May 25th.

But there’s a silver lining!

Small Victory shared some good news in their message: they’ll be reopening the cafe at the previous SeaHouse Restaurant unit on 1089 Marinaside Crescent.

That’s right, in Fall you’ll be able to enjoy your favourite Small Victory coffee and baked goodies right by the water.

And even though the current Yaletown outpost is closed – Small Victory isn’t disappearing completely, though.

They still have three other locations in Metro Vancouver, including their newest spot in Mount Pleasant, which opened last year.

The cafe scene in Downtown sure has been busy this year.

Several local chains like JJ Bean and Pallet Coffee have continued their expansions.

Calgary’s Analog Coffee is also slated to open their second downtown outpost soon.

Although Small Victory’s Yaletown outpost is gone until Fall, the local’s appetite for coffee and baked goodies isn’t dying down.
