Downtown Vancouver Korean Fried Chicken Pub Quietly Closes After 12 Years

It looks like another longtime downtown Vancouver restaurant has quietly shuttered.

We spotted that Ole Restaurant, the Korean fried chicken and pub spot tucked away on the second floor, has its doors completely covered up.

While its Google listing still shows as open, Vancouverโ€™s business license records indicate that it officially went out of business as of September 17.

Ole first opened back in 2013 and became a popular spot for fried chicken, beer, and late-night hangouts among the university student crowd.

The restaurant was known for staying open until 2 a.m. on some nights, making it a favourite spot for groups looking to unwind or a night out.

Its closure adds to a growing list of changes along Robson Street.

Just below Ole, Little Cafe has also recently gone dark after a period of uncertainty.

With Oleโ€™s departure, another familiar late-night fixture disappears from the downtown dining scene.

It now joins other recently closed Vancouver food spots, including Momono Tea, Yum Sweet Shop Kitsilano, and Limegee Downtown.
